RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF LINDA KAUTZ AND JOYCE SMOCK TO BOARD OF
PUBLIC HEALTH
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Board of Public Health, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Linda Kautz be appointed to said board as an
at-large representative, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Joyce Smock be appointed to said board as
an at-large representative, to replace Barbara Murphy, effective July 15, 2014, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint the aforementioned persons to said
board, each with a term to expire May 23, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Linda Kautz and Joyce Smock be, and hereby are, appointed to the Board
of Public Health, each with a term to expire May 23, 2017.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of July, A.D., 2014, nunc pro tunc July 15, 2014.
