RE: APPROVE QUOTE FOR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE OF LANDESK APPLICATION AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - NETWORK CONSULTING SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quote for Annual Maintenance of the
LanDesk Application between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Information Technology,
and Network Consulting Services, Inc., commencing upon execution of signature, with terms and
conditions being as stated in said quote, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said quote, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Quote for Annual Maintenance of the LanDesk Application between
the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Information Technology, and Network Consulting
Services, Inc., be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said quote.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of March, A.D., 2014.

The LanDesk application allows the Information Technology department to patch county
computer systems, provide detailed inventory of computer systems, remote installation of
software and remote control of computer systems for support personnel. IT has
reviewed this renewal and was able to negotiate the pricing below the previous annual
amount. The total amount for the annual maintenance is $34,452.00
With the above information, I recommend the board approve the annual maintenance
renewal for the LANDesk product suite.

Brief description of the problem/issue:
The LanDesk application allows the Information Technology department to patch county computer systems,
provide detailed inventory of computer systems, remote installation of software and remote control of computer
systems for support personnel. The attached quote is for the annual maintenance renewal associated to the
application. IT has reviewed this renewal and was able to negotiate the pricing below the previous annual
amount. The attached documents outline our level of service (Professional) and the associated support (see
page 3 on the LSI-0924_Customer Support document).
What options exist for the Board? (Include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options)
,ANDesk is a mission critical application for the county computer systems and the users of these systems. Not
having maintenance would put the systems at a security risk and potentially increase response times.
Recommendation:
Approve the annual maintenance to prevent laps in coverage. Please sign the attached quote and return to IT.
This is a maintenance agreement and it does not reference any Terms and Conditions.
