SUBJECT: Flex Wing Rotary Mower, B1400021
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the 2n° low bidder, B &G Equipment. There is
only $34 difference between the low bid from Longs Peak Equipment in Longmont and B& G Equipment which
is a local Weld County vendor. The mower deck bid by B& G Equipment is the same deck as two already in
our fleet. This mower deck can also have the left hand and center decks rotate clockwise to keep less debris
from entering the roadway which improves safety for the traveling public. We therefore recommend
purchasing one Flex Wing Rotary Mower from B& G Equipment at a cost of$15,141.00. Service manuals are
available on-line at no additional cost.
There is $7,000.00 budgeted for this purchase. •
