The proposed RV Dump Station is based on a RV storage yard with 300 storage spaces. On heavy use weekends, (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) it is assumed that 50% of the RV will leave the site and return at the end of the extended weekend. As this site is on septic and the RV trailers/vehicles use chemicals that cannot and should not be treated in a standard septic system, a vaulted holding tank system is proposed. 2. From information obtained from a local RV Dealer, the average amount of wastewater storage is 45 gallons per unit. It is also assumed that 5 gallons of water will be used to flush the wastewater holding tanks, mainly the black water tank. The average waste water dump and flush is 50 gallons. 3. On heavy use weekends the total amount of wastewater generated/dumped into the wastewater holding system is 50*150=7,500 gallons. The proposed dump station/vault system has been designed with five (5) 1,500 gallon, two chamber septic tanks, hooked up in series. The total vaulted system capacity is 7,500 gallons. 4. A Dump Station maintenance plan has been created by the operator and is attached to this cover letter. 5. It is proposed that a privy be added to the southern most holding tank for customer use when at the RV storage yard as no office will be present at the site. The proposed modular is for caretakers/residential use only. 6. An alarm system is required to notify the care taker that the vault system is near capacity. This alarm sensor shall be placed in the second to last compartment of the vaults. This alarm shall be visual and audible. If you have any questions, please contact me. The facilities have been designed based on an extreme use of 50%of the approximate 300 recreational vehicles dumping into the system during any one weekend. This would result in 150 recreational vehicles dumping on average 50 gallons of waste and water(45 gallons of waste and 5 gallons of wash-out water)for the total waste of 7500 gallons. The system will consist of(5) 1500 gallon (7500 gallon combined) septic tanks connected in a series. The last septic tank will have an alarm to signal that the system is in need of pumping and cleaning. The pumping and cleaning services will be contracted with a local company that will pump and clean the system based on need. Additionally, the system will be scheduled for pumping and cleaning prior to major holidays to handle the holiday rush. Access to the dump station will be controlled by a code access locked gate. This will allow for tracking the amount of waste dumped weekly. Additionally, customers will provide the size of their holding tanks when they sign the contract to store their recreational vehicle. This will provide the ability to track usage based on the code access and the size of holding tanks. Hello
