RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR WELD COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO DISTRIBUTE REQUEST
FOR PROPOSAL (RFP).
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statue and Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Finance Officer and Director of Communications
have requested that they be authorized to distribute a Request for Proposal
(RFP) to the following firms: Bell Telephone System, Rolm Corporation, I ,T.T. ,
G.T.E. , and Nippon Electric, and
WHEREAS, said Request for Proposal concerns a presentation of a new com-
munications system that will meet the requirements, both today and for the
next five (5) to ten (10) years to come, in the Centennial Complex and Court-
house. The Communications System should be a solid state system that provides
simplification in installation and maintenance and meets the needs of indi-
vidual telephone station users throughout the Complex, and has the ability of
expansion of the overall Communication System.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable and in the
best interest of Weld County to authorize the Weld County Finance Officer,
Purchasing Agent, and Director of Communications to develop and distribute
said Request for Proposal .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Finance Officer, Purchasing Agent,
and Director of Communications be, and hereby are, authorized to develop and
distribute a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a presentation of a new communica-
tions system for the Centennial Complex and Courthouse.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of March, A.D. , 1979.
