RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, heretofore and on April 12, 1976, the Board did enter
into an agreement with the State Department of Highways, Division of
Highways, State of Colorado, to obtain funds pursuant to Title 23 of the
Public Law 93-643, United States Code, commonly called "Federal Aid
Highway Amendments of 1974", for certain Off Systems Road Plan Program
projects as selected by the County, and
WHEREAS, the Board, having entered into said contract with the
State Department of Highways, Division of Highways, State of Colorado,
for the construction of certain public highway projects which are not on
any federal-aid or state highway system and which are located in Weld
County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways, Division of Highways,
State of Colorado, has advertised for bids for the construction of a certain
project #OS 9903 (2) which is a part of said contract, and the Department
requires that Weld County ancept or reject the low bid tendered to the
State Department of Highways for said project #OS 9903 (2), and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board that the Weld County
Engineer, G. Frank Smith, is the appropriate party to approve or disapprove
the low bid submitted for project #OS 9903 (2) pursuant to said contract
based upon Weld County's allocated monies for project #OS 9903 (2).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that Weld County Engineer, G.
Frank Smith, is authorized to approve or disapprove the low bid submitted
to the State of Colorado for project #OS 9903 (2) and that said approval or
disapproval shall be based upon the amount of allocated monies which Weld
County has available for project #OS 9903 (2).
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30thday of June, A. D. , 1976.
