Dear Council Members:
Recently, county staff has been receiving several requests for information from Councilman Hare. As a matter of
past practice, requests for information have come from the County Council,as a body,through the President.The
County Commissioners and county staff have always supplied the County Council with available information.We
consider past protocol important and believe it should be followed so county staff is clear regarding the policy
direction of the County Council.
Therefore, the Board of County Commissioners would prefer that requests for information come in writing from
the President of the County Council to the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners. The County
Commissioners will direct staff to provide the requested information in writing back to the County Council, so it
can be disseminated to all County Council members. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
We trust this procedure will ensure requests for information are coming on behalf of the Council. And the
information is being provided to the entire County Council in a timely manner.
