RE: ITEMIZED LIST OF LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2015
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2015 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day (2015) Thursday, January 1, 2015
Friday, January 2, 2015
(replaces Colorado Day)
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 16, 2015
Memorial Day Monday, May 25, 2015
Independence Day Friday, July 3, 2015
Labor Day Monday, September 7, 2015
Veterans Day Wednesday, November 11, 2015
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 26, 2015
Friday, November 27, 2015
(replaces King's Birthday)
Christmas Thursday, December 24, 2015
(replaces Columbus Day)

FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of
Colorado.
District Attorney -- Friday, January 2, 2015 (replaces Colorado Day);
Friday, November 27, 2015 (replaces King's Birthday); and
Thursday, December 24, 2015 (replaces Columbus Day)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the
calendar year of 2015 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of July, A.D., 2014.

Attached is the proposed schedule of holidays for calendar year 2015, as well as the rules for
choosing the appropriate days. Please let me know if you approve of the proposed schedule, or if
you have any recommended changes-TWO OPTIONS EXISTS FOR THE FLOATING HOLIDAY.

If holiday falls on a Sunday - day of is on following Monday.
