Subject: Inmate Transport Vehicle Bid Number#B1400003
The Weld County Sheriff's Office requested information on Inmate Transport Vehicles to
replace two vehicles.
In researching other companies who supply transport vehicles, the Sheriff's Office found
one company that appeared to have a comparable product based on the required
specifications. The company was asked to review the specifications for the prisoner
transport vehicles. After reviewing the specifications, the company advised they could
not meet the requirements.
The vehicles were put out for bid to ensure we didn't miss any potential suppliers. Only
one Vendor, BRAUN NORTHWEST INC, submitted a price quote for the vehicles
requested. After reviewing the bid submitted, we found it to comply with all the required
specifications; therefore the Sheriff's Office recommends BRAUN NORTHWEST INC. be
awarded the Bid.
