Re: Weld County Drug Task Force Control Board Resolutions 06/17/2014-01 and
06/17/2014-02
The purpose of this letter is to clarify a typo found in each of the two documents
described above. The headings of both documents indicate that they are resolutions
authorizing the transfer of equitable sharing funds. In the fifth paragraphs of each of the
documents it states that the transfers will be made from non-equitable sharing funds. It
was the intent of the Weld County Drug Task Force Control Board that the funds be
distributed from equitable sharing funds.
Since the typo was not discovered until after the resolutions were approved by the Board
of County Commissioners, I felt this letter of clarification would serve as the most
expedient means to remedy the typo and clarify the intent of the Control Board.
A copy of this letter will be memorialized in Control Board records.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF EQUITABLE SHARING FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF$25850 TO THE WELD COUNTY TASK FORCE,TO REIMBURSE
WELD COUNTY TASK FORCE FOR THE FOLLOWING NECESSARY AND REQUIRED
UPGRADES TO THE SYTECH EQUIPEMEMT:
S-3001-01-Dbupg Upgrade Main Database Server to Dell 2008 Server
S-3001-AR Analog Recorder Upgrade
S-3002-03-8DT Archiver Upgrade to CF/SD 8 Bay Archiver
S-3001-01upg ADACS Server Upgrades
S-3001-03Upg ADACS Monitor Upgradades
Various Rack Equipment Upgrade
S-3050-01 Labor,Installation and Testing
WHEREAS,. the Weld County Task Force Control Board is established to oversee the
operations of the Weld County Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Task Force Control Board has the authority to purchase or
lease equipment, machinery, and property to achieve the purposes of the Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Task Force Control Board has the authority to enter into
contracts;and
WHEREAS, all assets forfeitures or property accumulated by the Weld County Task Force
remains under the authority of the WCTF Control Board for disbursement in accordance with
grant provisions and state statutes;and
WHEREAS, in the best interest of the citizens of Weld County and the City of Greeley, the
WCTF Control Board at the regularly scheduled meeting of July 15,2014,authorized the transfer
of non-equitable sharing funds for the amount of$25850; and
WHEREAS, such funds may not be used to supplant existing budgeted funds in the
receiving agency's current fiscal year budget as per the Equitable Sharing Agreement, the
receiving entity must use the additional funding for law enforcement expenditures;
Now,therefore,be it resolved that the Weld County Task Force Control Board approves and
recommends to the Weld County Drug Task Force Asset/Seizure Forfeiture Oversight
Committee the transfer of$25850 to the Weld County Task Force:

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF EQUITABLE SHARING FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF$ 19610 TO THE WELD COUNTY TASK FORCE, TO REIMBURSE
WELD COUNTY TASK FORCE FOR THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
MANDATORY CONVERTION TO THE MOTOROLA APX6000 PORTABLE RADIO. 5
RADIOS OUTSIDE OF ASSIGNED OFFICER RADIOS ARE NEEDED TO PROVIDE TO
OTHER AGENIES DURING JOINT OPERATIONS.
WHEREAS, the Weld County Task Force Control Board is established to oversee the
operations of the Weld County Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Task Force Control Board has the authority to purchase or
lease equipment, machinery, and property to achieve the purposes of the Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Task Force Control Board has the authority to enter into
