HomeMy WebLinkAbout20143345 RESOLUTION RE: DECLARE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, APPROVE A CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL REAL ESTATE (EVANS AMBULANCE BUILDING) TO NORTH COLORADO MEDICAL CENTER, INC., AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the County has determined that the below described real property, described herein as the "Evans Ambulance Building," which is the subject of the Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate (Commercial) attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as "Real Estate Contract," is no longer required for County use: Platte Valley Subdivision Fourth Filing, being a Replat of Lots 13 and 14, Block 9, Platte Valley Subdivision, First Filing, City of Evans,Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, on October 28, 2013, the Board approved a bid from North Colorado Medical Center, Inc. ("NCMC"), for its purchase of the Evans Ambulance Building from Weld County for $360,100, and authorized the Chairman's signature on the Real Estate Contract; however, no Resolution was approved and signed, and WHEREAS, on August 27, 2014, the attached plat entitled, "Platte Valley Subdivision Fourth Filing," was recorded in the Office of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder at Reception Number 4041443, and WHEREAS, the Board now deems it advisable, by and through this Resolution, to declare the Evans Ambulance Building as surplus, approve the Real Estate Contract with the understanding that the property description has been clarified by and through the recording of the plat for the Platte Valley Subdivision Fourth Filing, and authorize the Chair to sign all necessary documents to complete the closing for said sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Evans Ambulance Building be, and hereby is, declared surplus. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Real Estate Contract, between Weld County and NCMC for the purchase and sale of the Evans Ambulance Building, be, and hereby is, approved. Legal description has changed a bit (shown on attached plat), because we had to do a re- subdivision through the City of Evans to combine the two lots into one.
