Dear Commissioner Rademacher: COMMISSIONERS
A reorganization of the Greeley Police Department's command structure
has made it difficult for Captain Mike Savage to continue as the City's
representative to the E911 Board and the Communications Advisory Board.
This has necessitated the City of Greeley appointing a replacement for
Captain Savage to the Weld County E911 Authority Board. On August 19,
2014 the Greeley City Council passed a resolution (attached) naming
Greeley Police Captain Mark Jones as the City's representative. I
respectfully request the Weld County Board of Commissioners accept
Captain Jones for that position. I also request that Captain Jones be
accepted as Captain Savage's replacement on the Communications
Advisory Board.

RESOLUTION 47 ,2014
A RESOLUTION OF THE GREELEY CITY COUNCIL APPOINTING
GREELEY POLICE CAPTAIN MARK JONES AS THE CITY OF GREELEY
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE WELD COUNTY E-911 AUTHORITY BOARD
FOR A TWO-YEAR TERM.
WHEREAS, the Weld County E-911 Authority Board is a legal entity
responsible for the administration of the E-911 emergency telephone service program,
and by intergovernmental agreement, one of the seven board members is appointed by the
Greeley City Council; and
WHEREAS, Captain Mike Savage has been the City's representative on the
Board but is changing assignments due to a departmental reorganization; and
WHEREAS, Police Chief Jerry Garner recommends that the City Council
appoint Captain Mark Jones to a two-year term on the Weld County E-911 Authority
Board.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GREELEY, COLORADO:
Section 1. The City Council hereby appoints Captain Mark Jones to represent the
City of Greeley on the Weld County E-911 Authority Board for a two-year term.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 19th DAY
OF AUGUST,2014.
