RE: APPROVE WORK ORDER FORM PURSUANT TO AGREEMENT FOR COUNTY
ROADS 44 AND 49 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT CDOT #SHO
C030-052, AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - WESTERN STATES LAND
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Work Order Form Pursuant to
Agreement for County Roads 44 and 49 Intersection Improvements Project CDOT #SHO
C030-052, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, and Western
States Land Services, commencing February 19, 2014, with a completion date of July 6, 2014,
and with further terms and conditions being as stated in said work order form, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said work order form, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Work Order Form Pursuant to Agreement for County Roads 44 and 49
Intersection Improvements Project CDOT#SHO C030-052, between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Department of Public Works, and Western States Land Services, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said work order form.

EXHIBIT A
Scope of Work
Western States Land Services will all work necessary to acquire 4 parcels of Right of Way and associated
Easements on the Weld County Road 44 and 49 Intersection Project.The CDOT project number is SHO
C030-052 and project code is 19063. Parcels will be acquired using the Uniform Act and FHWA
guidelines including coordination with CDOT for review and approval of required documents.
All documents will be reviewed by Weld County prior to submittal to the landowner or CDOT. A
complete set of documents will be kept by Western States and surrendered to Weld County when the
project right of way has been cleared by CDOT.
Weld County will furnish all appraisals,title commitments, legal descriptions and a copy of the CDOT
approved Right of Way plan to Western States. Weld County will also furnish copies of agreements,
deeds of dedication and possession and use agreements. In order to complete the acquisitions in an
accelerated manner, it is anticipated that Western States will pursue possession and use agreements
from the landowners by using the County's appraisals for the values in the agreement.
Fees for this project will be based on the attached fee schedule, Exhibit B.
