RE: Ammunition Purchase Authorization—Outside of County Limits
To Whom it May Concern:
The Board of County Commissioners authorizes the Weld County Sheriff to purchase ammunition
outside of the County approved procurement process for the rest of calendar year 2014 and 2015.
This authorization is provided at the request of the Sheriff due to an existing and anticipated
ammunition shortage.
The Commissioners are in agreement with the Sheriff that ammunition is essential to the maintenance
of the public's safety.Authorization is contingent upon the Sheriff purchasing ammunition at market
rates and not exceeding the Sheriffs Department 2014 and 2015 budgeted appropriation amounts for
ammunition
