RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #2012-2852, dated October 8, 2012, and pursuant to
Section 3-7(1) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, the Board of Weld County
Commissioners appointed Monica Daniels-Mika as the Weld County Clerk to the Board, to be
the custodian of the County seal, and records and papers of the Board of County
Commissioners; maintain a journal and record of Board proceedings; record all motions,
resolutions, actions of and votes by the Board; be the agent of the County for service of
process; and perform such other duties as, are now, or may hereafter be, prescribed by law for
Clerks of Boards of County Commissioners or by the Weld County Home Rule Charter, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners desires to transfer said title from
Ms. Daniels-Mika to Esther Gesick, effective as of January 9, 2014.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by Board of Weld County Commissioners that,
effective January 9, 2014, Esther Gesick be, and hereby is, appointed the Clerk to the Board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 13th day of January, A.D., 2014, nunc pro tunc January 9, 2014.

THIS IS TO CERTIFY, that we appoint Esther Gesick as Clerk to the Board in and for Weld
County, State of Colorado, with full power and authority to act in this position, unless this
appointment should be sooner revoked.
