Northern Colorado Constructors was the lowest bidder for both northern and southern county but their only plant is located in Brighton. The Public Works Department recommends that the bid for squeegee be awarded to Varra Companies for northern Weld County at a price of$3.50 per ton and Northern Colorado Constructors for southern Weld County at a price of$1.00 per ton. Northern Colorado Constructors was the lowest bidder for both northern and southern county but their only plant is located in Fort Lupton. The Public Works Department recommends that Class B Concrete be awarded to Varra Companies, the lowest bidder, for northern and southern Weld County at a price of$109.50 per yard. If Varra Companies is unable to provide concrete, we would like the ability to purchase Class B concrete from Martin Marietta. The Public Works Department recommends that Class D Concrete be awarded to Varra Companies, the lowest bidder,for both northern and southern Weld County at a price of$112.00 per yard. If Varra Companies is unable to provide concrete, we would like the ability to purchase Class D concrete from Martin Marietta. We further recommend that Flowfill be awarded to Varra Companies for northern and southern Weld County at a price of$91.00 per yard. The bid from Martin Marietta of$90.00 per yard is for northern Weld County only. Varra Companies can provide flowfill for both areas of Weld County. A total of$55,000 is budgeted for this purchase.
