The Fire District does not object to the request provided the requirements of the Fire District can be met. Water supply for fire protection is required for the new residence if the structure exceeds 3,600 gross square feet. All other structures may require water supply for fire protection depending on the use of the new structure. When water supply for fire protection is not available from fire hydrants, the installation of a residential fire sprinkler system is accepted as an alternative to meeting the required fire flow for residential structures. Plans for the residence and bam/shop must be approved by the Fire District before a building permit can be issued. We appreciate being involved in the planning process.
