RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROAD 41 BETWEEN COUNTY ROADS 90 AND 92 FOR FIVE
(5)WORKING DAYS, FOR CULVERT REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-106(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance,temporarily close to
through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days
for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road
closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative
routing of the traffic affected...", and
the basis of traffic and personal
WHEREAS,the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon
investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close
to through traffic and to regulate,warn and guide vehicular traffic on said County roads by posting
signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on
County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate,warn and/or guide traffic
thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the
Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that County Road 41, between County Roads 90 and 92, be
temporarily closed,with said closure being effective December 1, 2014, for approximately five (5)
working days for a culvert replacement, and further, that standard official traffic control devices
shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 29th day of October, A.D., 2014.

WCR 76.5 between WCR 21 and WCR 23 is scheduled to be closed from 11/10/2014 to
11/14/2015 to replace a culvert.
WCR 90 between WCR 35 and WCR 37 is scheduled to be closed from 11/20/2014 to
11/26/2015 to replace/repair a culvert.
WCR 41 between WCR 90 and WCR 92 is scheduled to be closed from 12/1/2014 to 12/5/2014
to replace a culvert.
