Home My WebLink About20143364.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE EMERGENCY BID #B1400195, SKID MOUNTED MATERIAL SPREADERS, AND WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #B1400195, Skid Mounted Material Spreaders, for the Department of Public Works, due to the need for proper equipment prior to the winter snow season, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day waiting period for said emergency bid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request#61400195, Skid Mounted Material Spreaders, for the Department of Public Works, be, and hereby is, waived. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from MacDonald Equipment, for a total amount of$75,200, be, and hereby is, accepted on an emergency basis. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of October, A.D., 2014. Recommendation is to purchase all 4 units from MacDonald Equipment, low bid. There were two different models in the bid and Kois bid all the same unit vs. the two different and therefore does not meet specs.
