L.61.o:a sue} _ Chris Gathman — Planner FIELD CHECK CASE NUMBER: USR 14-0003 DATE OF INSPECTION: 4-09-14 APPLICANT'S NAME: Clyde Hemberger, C/O Expedition Water Solutions PLANNER: Chris Gathman REQUEST: Disposal Site for oil and gas production waste including a Class II injection well and water recycling facility. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: PT E2/NW4 Sec. 26, TSN, R60W Weld Co., Colorado LOCATION: South of and adjacent to State Highway 14 and East of and adjacent to CR 105 LAND USE: N Across State Highway 14 pasture land E Pasture land S Pasture land W Pasture land across CR 105 ZONING: N A(Agricultural) E A(Agricultural) S A(Agricultural) W A(Agricultural) COMMENTS: f 1) How many trucks are anticipated? According to#5 of the USR Questionnaire, EWS indicates there would be 130 trucks per day. However, the Traffic Narrative indicates 120 trucks per day. I am concerned about traffic on Highway 14 coming from the east. There is a small hill on Highway 14 about one-eighth to one-fourth mile east of CR 105. If vehicles are traveling at 65 mph (or faster) from east to west on Highway 14 when they get to the top of the hill, and there are trucks (120-130) slowing to turn south onto CR 105, maybe waiting on traffic coming from the west, safety could be a factor. According to Gloria Hice-Idler's memo, turn lanes aren't needed, but intersection radius could use some widening. It appears to me that turning lanes should be considered for that many trucks turning south from Highway 14, especially since visibility is obstructed from the east. f2) I am curious about the amount of land (470.4 acres) included in the USR. It doesn't appear that the disposal site will use the entire 470 acres. How will the remaining portion of the land be used? ' Joyce Smock (" fi cz"-- 7 L ' LILY P.C.
