RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Terry Cross be appointed as the District 3
representative, to replace Brett Elliott, with a term to expire July 31, 2015, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Bruce Johnson be appointed as the
District 2 representative, to replace Mark Lawley, with a term to expire July 31, 2017, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Joyce Smock and Michael Wailes be
reappointed to said board as the District 1 and At-Large representatives, respectively, with new
terms to expires July 31, 2017, and back-dated to August 1, 2014, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint and reappoint the aforementioned
persons to said board, with their respective terms to expire as described above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Terry Cross and Bruce Johnson be, and hereby are, appointed,
and that Joyce Smock and Michael Wailes be, and hereby are, reappointed to the Planning
Commission.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 13th day of August, A.D., 2014, nunc pro tuns August 1, 2014.
