Bids were received and opened on May 20, 2014 for Cisco Networking Equipment Hardware
and Software Maintenance. Four (4) bids were received ranging from $80,540.00 to
$146,319.34. Attached is the bid tabulation for your information.
The Information Technology staff reviewed all of the bids. The apparent low bid was
submitted by World Network Support. This bid submittal does not meet our
requirements of a Cisco SMARTnet proposal; World Network Support is offering their
branded World Network alternative support package. For this reason, we are not
choosing World Network Support.
The second lowest bid of$122,806.80 was provided by ISC. This vendor does provide
certified Cisco support which meets our requirements.
With the above information, I recommend the board award the Cisco Networking
Equipment Hardware and Software Maintenance to ISC for a total amount of
$122,806.80.
