RE: ANNUAL MEETING AND 2015 BUDGET HEARING -SOUTHWESTERN WELD COUNTY
LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on December 15, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Chair
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Mike Freeman
Commissioner William F. Garcia - EXCUSED
Also present:
Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick
County Attorney, Robert Frick
Director of Budget and Management Analysis, Donald D. Warden
The following business was transacted:
e I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 21, 2014, and duly published
November 26, 2014, in the Greeley Tribune,the Annual Meeting of the Southwestern Weld County
Law Enforcement District Authority Board was conducted, and a public hearing was conducted to
consider the proposed 2015 Budget for the Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority
(LEA) District. Donald Warden, Director of Budget and Management Analysis, recommended
approval of the budget, in the amount of$1,590.00, supported by 7.0 mills in property tax. He also
noted the district has been de-bruced so there are no Tabor limitations, and the amount is used for
extraordinary patrol services by the Sheriffs Office. (Clerk's Note: the 2014 budget amount was
inadvertently cited for the record; however, the 2015 amounts as typed above and reflected in the
corresponding documents are correct.)
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Ii Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the Resolution to Adopt the Budget, in the amount
of$1,590.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Conway, and it carried unanimously.
Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Freeman, and it carried unanimously.
e Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the Resolution to Set the Mill Levy at 7.0 mills.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Freeman, and it carried unanimously.
E Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the Law Enforcement Agreement and authorize
the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Freeman, and it carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 11:47 a.m.
