On March 12, 2014, only one bid was received and opened for the 2014 Tree Tub Grinding and Hauling Chips Service
Contract. The sole bid was submitted by Oxford Recycling, Inc based out of Denver, Colorado. Oxford's hourly rate for
this work was$1,025.00.
Weld County Public Works believes that we could get a better price if we bid this work out once we have our debris stock
piled at East Davis and Hokestra Gravel pit. Contractors would then be able to visually see the tree type,size and lengths,
which will help them with their bid/hourly rate.
As a result of having only one bidder, it is our recommendation that the bid submitted by Oxford Recycling be rejected.
This contract would be bid out again in the fall(September)and should be completed by the end of October 2014.
