1) OPTIONS: Change in the amount of the maximum not to exceed amount.
2) REQUIRED PROVISIONS.
In accordance with Section 8.A(i) of the Master Agreement routing number 14 HA4 64551 between the
State of Colorado, Department of Transportation, and WELD COUNTY, COLORADO,the State hereby
exercises its option to increase the not to exceed amount payable in the Master Agreement, as
amended, by $6,503,126.59 for a new not to exceed value of$9,832,926.59 as consideration for
Services/Goods ordered under the Master Agreement, as amended. The first sentence of Section 8.A is
hereby modified accordingly. The total agreement value including all previous amendments, option
letters is $0. Delivery/performance of the Work shall continue at the same rates and under the same
terms as established in the Master Agreement, as amended.
3) Effective Date. The effective date of this Option Letter is upon approval of the State Controller.

CRS§24-30-202 requires the State Controller to approve all State contracts.This Option Letter is not valid
until signed and dated below by the State Controller or delegate.Except as provided in§8.F of the Master
Agreement, Local Agency is not authorized to begin performance until such time.Except as provided in
§8.F of the Master Agreement,if Local Agency begins performing prior thereto,the State of Colorado Is not
obligated to pay Local Agency for such performance or for any goods and/or services provided hereunder.

Hi Esther, attached is an option letter from the State for the CDOT Grant, which covers the FHWA Projects.The BOCC
number is 2014-0372. This document provides an update to the not to exceed dollar amount for the grant. No
signatures are required by the BOCC or myself. I've talked with Commissioner Garcia and Don Warden and they both
agreed this can be added to the consent agenda. Please let me know if you have any questions.
