RE: APPROVE CANCELLATION OF BACK TAXES AND ACCEPT PROPOSAL FROM
TOWN OF PIERCE TO TRANSFER TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE (TS CERT 2007-
0776) FOR PARCEL #055327104002
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, this matter was originally considered by the Board of County
Commissioners on December 30, 2013, and was continued to January 6, 2014, for further
consideration, and
WHEREAS, as set forth in a Memorandum from the Weld County Treasurer, marked
Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, the
Treasurer recommends cancellation of the taxes due and payable under Tax Lien Sale
Certificate (TS CERT 2007-0776), for Parcel #055327104002, on the basis that they are
uncollectible and a period of six (6) years has passed since such tax liens were stricken off to
Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Section 39-10-114(2)(b), C.R.S., authorizes the Board to make such
cancellation, and to transfer TS CERT 2007-0776, even though the tax lien has been cancelled,
and
WHEREAS, the Town of Pierce is interested in purchasing TS CERT 2007-0776 for
$7.00, so that Parcel #055327104002 may be cleaned up and sold for further use, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve such cancellation and
accept said transfer proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the back taxes for the Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT
2007-0776), on Parcel #055327104002, be, and hereby are, cancelled and the transfer proposal
from the Town of Pierce be, and hereby is accepted.

I'm sorry Renee. I guess I didn't explain it right. The part I'm wondering about is the Tax certificate itself. I'll just send
the page we're questioning. In the section where Doug had to sign, does any information need to be added to that
section where it starts out with A.D. FOR VALUE RECEIVED, etc. In addition to that question,
we usually have to have these recorded, so I'm also wondering if you want us to record this one. Sorry this was
confusing.

I am attaching a copy of the Tax Lien Sale Certificate for you to look at. 1 know this one is different from all the others
ones we processed during that same time, but is there supposed to be something filled in assigning the right,title and
interest? I know they come to us with this filled out,so we're not sure if this one needs more information on it, and if it
needs to be recorded.
