RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, to purchase from the hereinafter mentioned dealers,
for the use of the Weld County Department of Human Resources - Head Start
Program, the following motor vehicles, to-wit:

as per motor vehicle purchase agreements, all of which are attached hereto
and made a part hereof by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County of Weld,
State of Colorado, agrees to purchase from the hereinabove mentioned
dealers, the aforementioned motor vehicles upon all of the terms and con-
ditions in said purchase agreements thereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the aforementioned motor
vehicles shall be used only for the Weld County Department of Human Re-
sources - Head Start Program and related purposes.

Recommendation
The Head Start program has been authorized by the regional
office of HEW, to purchase four (4) vans to meet the needs of
transporting the Head Start children on field trips, to and from
the classroom, etc. The amount authorized to purchase the four
vehicles is $13,000,00, I therefore recommend that the Board of
County Commissioners authorize the Weld County Department of Human
Resources/Head Start to purchase the following;

I personally inspected each vehicle and I feel they are our best
buy for the money. Enclosed are other bids which we feel are too high,
we also contacted each dealer in the Greeley area, some responded and
as you see some didn't.
