J 375 i Elk Mountain, Wyoming 82324 • COUNTY CLERK AND RECORDER— JUTy De Dear Mr. Williams: mY Your telephone conversation yesterday was interesting. Any benefit we might derive from a visit would have to prove of some advantage to the Double Eight Land Corporation and also to my mother's farm as well as being satisfactory to the Weld County Commissioners. Our interests would not be served unless the drainage from your farm were kept out of our lateral or an alternative lateral were provided for our farm separate from your drainage. You stated that you would not want to go to the expense of providing a tile drain to carry your seepage. We do not want to have to go to the expense of relocating our lateral . We already have an established right-of-way now. An alternate route , if obtainable, would require substantial additional expense and might be impossible to get. I would not be willing to make such a move unless you were willing to bear a major portion of the cost and this, I doubt, you would be willing to• do. In spite of the observation you made that very little seepage had reached the corner so far, I have no assurance that it will not increase in the future making cleaning and maintenance more difficult and expensive. Unless there is some inclination on your part to consider the above proposal , I cannot see any use of meeting for a discussion of the problem and I will await your conoliance with the county's request as stated by Mr. .Glenn Billings. • Yours very truly, L.
