The original award was to Power Equipment Company as they indicated compliance with the required digging depth of 15'9" on their bid. However, the actual digging depth of their backhoe is only 1411" which does not meet specs. Therefore, we are rejecting the bid award to Power Equipment. There is $97,000 budgeted for this purchase. Option#1 (Detachable Bucket) is included in the price. Service manuals are available on-line at no additional cost. There is $97,000 budgeted for this purchase.
