RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF BID #B1400066, WATER IRRIGATION
RIGHTS FOR LEASE- DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for Bid Request No. B1400066, Water Irrigation Rights for Lease, for the Department of
Public Works, due to time constraints, and so that farmers can begin using the water
immediately, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to waive the ten-day waiting
period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Bid Request No. B1400066, Water
Irrigation Rights for Lease, for the Department of Public Works, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the sole bid for Fulton Ditch Water from
Petrocco Farms, Inc., at $71.00 per share, be, and hereby is, accepted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 26th day of March, A.D., 2014.
