RE: APPROVE QUOTE FOR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE OF VMWARE (VIRTUAL SERVER)
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - INSIGHT PUBLIC SECTOR
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quote for Annual Maintenance of the
VMware (Virtual Server) between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Information
Technology, and Insight Public Sector, commencing upon execution of signature, with terms and
conditions being as stated in said quote, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said quote, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Quote for Annual Maintenance of the VMware (Virtual Server)
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Information Technology, and
Insight Public Sector, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said quote.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 28th day of May, A.D., 2014.

SUBJECT: VMware Annual Maintenance Renewal
Weld County IT is requesting approval of our annual maintenance for the Weld County
Information Technology VMware (Virtual Server) environment for the amount of$73,114.30.
The request will provide annual maintenance for all Weld County IT VMware software currently
owned until September 24th, 2015. The request, from Insight Public Sector, utilized the state

The VMware environment offers private cloud virtualization which enables logical servers to more
