As mentioned in the neighborhood meeting on June 18, 2014, we recently purchased our home adjacent to the Mead Station. We appreciate all the benefits the oil and gas industry brings to Colorado and trust that the lives that this industry touches remain positive. On that note, we would like to express our concerns, as our property is fairly close to the Mead Station . We are not opposed to the station, but as neighbors, would like to ensure that our property and those surrounding it are not negatively affected . During the Planning Commission Hearing on July 1 , 2014, the board requested that Anadarko submit a landscape plan for all three stations for public review and approval prior to the Board of Commissioner meeting on July 23, 2014. We would like to request a copy of the landscape plan, as it becomes available. The one major opposition we have to the project is the planned high power lines and electrical substation to be installed on the Mead Station property. We were told that this substation will be used to power the Mead Compressor Station . There are families with small children that live on the corner of County Road 28 and County Road 21 .5 that this would adversely affect. There are also several properties with families and livestock that the high power lines would cross. We realize that Tri-State is the company proposing the installation of the substation, but it is our hope that Anadarko will work with Tri- State on an alternate solution. Please put yourself in our shoes as neighbors. Would you want an electrical substation in your backyard or high power electrical lines running along your property? Attached is a list of additional concerns that we have to the Mead Compressor Station, which we will also submit to the Planning Commission Hearing on August 5, 2014 for public comment. We appreciate your assistance in addressing our concerns and look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
