RE: PARTICIPATION BY WELD COUNTY IN PROGRAM SET FORTH IN
H.B. 1041 (1974) REGARDING THE IDENTIFICATION AND ADMIN-
ISTRATION OF MATTERS OF STATE AND LOCAL INTEREST.
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners , Weld County,
Colorado, has received a letter dated July 29, 1976, from the
Executive Director, Department of Local Affairs , setting forth
requirements of Counties for eligibility for financial assis-
tance pursuant to H.B. 1041 (1974) , and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that it is in the best
interests of the County to continue to participate in the pro-
gram and to fully comply with the requirements of H. B. 1041
to effectuate proper planning within Weld County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that:
1. This County will make the program of administration,
indentification and regulation of appropriate matters of
State interest, a part of this County ' s comprehensive planning
program.
2 . This County will meet and continue to pursue standarnds
established by the Department of Local Affairs relative to scope,
detail and accuracy and comparability and to meet deadlines
in accordance with the work program.
3. This County will submit a detailed, updated work plan
in compliance with the requirements of said letter indicating
how financial and technical assistance will be used for
identification and regulation of matters of state interest and
of local interest within the territory of the county, including
all municipalities .
4. This County will submit a comprehensive planning pro-
gram, which includes federal, state, regional and local plan-
ning activities and funding in compliance with the requirements
of said letter.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 6th
day of October, A.D. , 1976.
