RE: APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE BIG THOMPSON FLOOD
COMMITTEE FROM WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, are charged with the responsibility of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , it has come to the attention of the Board of
County Commissioners that it is necessary to appoint two members
to the BIG THOMPSON FLOOD COMMITTEE, and
WHEREAS, the names of Norman Carlson, Weld County Commissioner,
and James H. Shelton of Greeley, Colorado, have been suggested
as proper persons to be appointed to membership in said
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Norman Carlson and
James H. Shelton be, and hereby are, appointed as members of the
BIG THOMPSON FLOOD COMMITTEE.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on this 75th day
of Mernhpr , A. D. , 1976.

Dear Commissioner Billings:
The Larimer County Commissioners have asked me to reform the Big
Thompson Advisory Committee to include a representative from the
Weld County Commission and an At-Large representative form Weld
County. I have no objection to their request and, therefore, in-
vite this participation by Weld County in the recovery efforts.
If the Weld Commissioners believe that such participation would be
useful would you please designate both a Commissioner representative and
an At-Large representative. Your choices should be communicated to

Dear John:
The Board of Weld County Commissioners believe the
participation of representatives from Weld County
on the Big Thompson Advisory Committee would prove
beneficial.
Therefore, the Board has appointed Norman Carlson
as the Commissioner representative and Jim Shelton
(1011 11th Avenue, Greeley 80631) as the at-large
representative to serve on the committee.
