RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO FAMILIES, YOUTH AND
CHILDREN COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Families, Youth and Children Commission,
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Lawrence Raimer be reappointed to said
board as the Law Enforcement representative, that Dr. Christopher Moore be reappointed as the
physician or health care professional representative, and that Gwen Schooley be reappointed as
the mental health representative, all with terms to expire December 31, 2016, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Matt Jarosz be appointed to said board as the
Accountant/Other Finance Professional representative, to replace Rosemary Geelan, with a term
to expire December 31, 2015; and that John Gates be appointed as the Local School District
representative, to replace Juanita Garcia, with a term to expire December 31, 2014, nunc pro tunc
August 1, 2013, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Lawrence Raimer, Dr. Christopher Moore, and Gwen Schooley be, and
hereby are, reappointed, and that Matt Jarosz and John Gates be, and hereby are, appointed to
the Families, Youth and Children Commission, all with terms as noted above.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 10th day of March, A.D., 2014.
