HomeMy WebLinkAbout20142002.tiff MEMORANDUM 186' < TO: Esther Gesick, Clerk to the Board July 17, 2014 1 Dricji FROM: Ryan Rose, Chief Information Officer c c_u N.-1-The SUBJECT: RFP Request#61400122, Web Applications & Server Vulnerability Scanner BOCC Approval Date: July 21, 2014 RFPs were received and opened on July 7, 2014 for the Web Applications & Server Vulnerability Scanner. Three (3) RFP responses were received ranging from $42,843.02 to $79,272.81 for a five (5) year cost (initial cost + 5 years of maintenance). Attached is the bid tabulation for your information. A vulnerability scanner is designed to assess computing systems and applications security weaknesses to aid in reducing our risk of being compromised by hackers. The Information Technology staff reviewed all of the RFP responses and after an in-depth evaluation, determined the solution "Tenable Security Center Continuous View" offered by Solutions-ii, Inc. best meets the functionality requirements that we requested. The other solutions, which only met 45-48% of the requested functionality, would pose more of a security risk over the Solutions-ii software. Solutions-ii, Inc. had the second lowest bid of$60,852.30 and they are out of Littleton, CO. Year One cost will be $36,511.37 for the initial cost of the software plus first year of support. Years Two-Five cost will be $6,085.23/year for ongoing support. With the above information, I recommend the board award the Web Applications & Server Vulnerability Scanner RFP to Solutions-ii, Inc. for a five-year total amount of $60,852.30. 2/ goo a Oooa. 44/4 sn on`//4o Oa W4a J'r'/ten°a ` /na ea/ 2 o r co a6p`t, • Soo co na' la 4- o c, c v n n now nn/a•90 w w I A, 41.4.... eh S CD -r/t+ co H IR nb N co CO h n n e_ h N M r h .-- 4,', `` VP 414 40. asodk ((icy 8 e4, 49 M cl N Os mnnnv wMNnh S.// a N a o of o CO 0 r r CO N Clic tea N Q V C W A E ffl'cai NJNoENH c m` . f to y a ; 0 ° a 'c a s w U Si w £ o HHLJIIJh Nca n a ° em ° fA U VN S° V 'r_° F FVa f A° w ..
