Minutes WELD COUNTY COUNCIL December 15, 2014 The Weld County Council met in full conformity with the Weld County Home Rule Charter, Monday, December 15, 2014, at the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, CO. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by Councilwoman Marge Klein and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of members thereof: Councilwoman Marge Klein Councilman Brett Abernathy Councilman Don Mueller Councilman Bernard C. Kinnick Councilman Jeffrey Hare Also present: Jennifer Finch, Information Specialist, and Sarah Mundt, Council Secretary. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Councilman Mueller made a motion to approve the December 15, 2014 agenda. The motion was seconded by Councilman Abernathy and the motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES AND REPORT TO THE PEOPLE: • Formal Approval of the November 17, 2014 Minutes, Councilman Mueller motioned to accept the Minutes. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kinnick and the motion carried. PRESENTATION: Jennifer Finch presented on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. Ms. Finch presented the Weld County Commissioners 2014 Summary that highlights the latest in projects and programs of this year. For the 20th year, residents have continued to save money due to the mill levy reduction. Weld County opened a new 10,000 sq/ft Communications Center. The Board has cooperated in works to make 1-25 a priority for the region. The summary highlights how flood recovery continues and how the City of Evans was helped in the process. The Spanish Colony Subdivision Project was completed and the County embarked on its largest road project with the Weld County 49 Corridor. The County created a Weld County Infrastructure Map, a Restaurant Inspection module, Wonderful Weld video highlights, Discover Weld YouTube Channel, Spotlight Weld, and Weld County Pinterest. And finally, the County was recognized 2017-2905 Weld County Council December 15,2014 Minutes internationally with its Natural Gas Program. The Summary can be accessed on the website. PUBLIC COMMENT: None at this time OLD BUSINESS: None at this time NEW BUSINESS: • January meeting- Councilman Abernathy thinks the Council should invite a Commissioner to speak on behalf of the Board. Councilwoman Klein will contact the BOCC and make the request. • Coordinator Reports- none at this time • Upcoming Meetings/Invitations- Retirement Party, 12/18 from 2pm-4pm, for outgoing Commissioners and County Attorney, Bruce Barker. • Pay bills — Councilman Abernathy made a motion to pay all bills, Councilman Mueller seconded the motion, and the motion carried. ✓ Mileage for Councilman Mueller $ 5.94 ✓ Mileage for Councilman Abernathy $ 9.72 ✓ Mileage for Councilwoman Klein $ 34.02 ✓ Mileage for Councilman Hare $ 6.48 ✓ Mileage for Councilman Kinnick $ 5.94 ADJOURNMENT: By acclamation, the meeting was adjourned at 6:57 p.m. December 15, 2014 Council President Marge Klein Council Secretary Sarah Mundt Hello
