Home My WebLink About20142914.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO SEPTEMBER 22, 2014 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, September 22, 2014, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. le ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Chair Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner Mike Freeman Commissioner William F. Garcia Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Susan Brown Controller, Barbara Connolly !U MINUTES: Commissioner Conway moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of August 25, 2014, as printed. Commissioner Garcia seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: Tom Teixeira, Director of the Greeley/ Weld County Housing Authority, updated the Board on the $4.1 million dollar CDBG Disaster Recovery Grant funds received by the County and said the first cases are being addressed: 25 applicants will receive rent assistance for up to 24 months, and 14 have requested assistance with housing repairs. He confirmed these efforts are coordinated with the United Way, which has been handling case management, and Weld Recovers is overseeing duplication of benefits. He also spoke briefly about the project in the Espanola subdivision.
