REMARKS: The Aid to Dependent Children caseload reflected a seasonal increase of 20
households compared with the prior month of August. Food Stamp caseloads, on the other
hand, declined by 65 households, reflecting the drop-off of migrant family participation
in this program. Other public assistance caseloads did not show remarkable change.
Expenditures for September (excluding Old Age Pension) were $541,369. This amount was
$2,983 more than the preceding month and $35,003 more than the same month in 1977. Food
Stamp sales declined from $337,603 in August to $299,609 in September.
