zt is hard for me to understand why you ,
representing your county , and also , presumably ,
natives of � olorado , are in favor of Martin
Marietta building an asphalt plant in the middle
of a farming community . zn other words you
support then and their plan instead of
supporting your community and its agricultural
land .
Will Martin Marietta elect you to stay in
office , to represent weld County and its land
use ? No , but perhaps you are being compensated
financially by them , which is more to you ,
personally and not to weld County . Colorado is
being gobbled up by buildin � and commercial
growth wherever possible , w � th no thought to the
environment , quality of life , and water
consumption . It seems you are not for protecting
the 1 and f rom i ndust ri al g rowth , hel pi ng farme rs
to protect their land and make a living farming
without toxic emissions and pollution .
The location of Martin and Marietta and their
asphalt plant in the middle of the farming
commun � ty � s a detriment to the community and an
eyesore .
You need to pursue getting a documented study by
independent environmental engineers in pollution
hazards and agricultural hazards � n making you
decide on how Martin Marietta Asphalt Plant
operates .
zn regards to the community in weld County whom
you represent , I hope you reverse your decision
in allowing Martin Marietta to bu � ld where � t
is , the most benefit to them , and z suppose your
tax base and not to the farming immunity . You
might also go back into the Colorado statues
which does not allow � ndustrial build � ng on land
which has land minerals .
