RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF TOM PARKO AS INTERIM BUILDING OFFICIAL OF
THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING INSPECTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, as a result of a vacancy in the Department of Building Inspection, the Board
now desires to appoint Tom Parko as the Interim Building Official of the Department of Building
Inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Torn Parko be, and hereby is, appointed as the Interim Building
Official.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of June, A.D., 2015.

Good afternoon . As you all know Frank Piacentino ' s last day as
the Building Official is Monday June 12t11 . I have been diligently
searching for a new Building Official over the last couple of
months with little success . During the last round of interviews we
made an offer to an individual who then backed out. I want to
inform you all that I am willing to step in as the Interim Building
Official until I can find the right person for the BO job . I believe I
need to get with Esther so the Board can take action to designate
me as the Interim BO via Resolution, correct?
