RE: APPROVE AUTHORIZING CHECKING ACCOUNTS FOR THE CHASE PLAZA
BUILDING'S MANAGEMENT FIRM
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the County has recently purchased the Chase Plaza building and has hired a
property manager to manage the building in accordance with an agreement dated December 29,
2014, and approved on December 31, 2014, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by
and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and DTZ (formerly Cassidy
Turley Commercial Real Estate Services), 600 Grant Street, Suite 204, Denver, CO 80203, and
WHEREAS, the property agreement calls for the creation of two checking accounts, one
for tenant deposits/reserve and one for an operational account, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration, Controller, and Director of
Building and Grounds are all recommending the creation of said checking accounts in accordance
with the above agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners
that the two checking accounts, in accordance with the property management agreement dated
December 29, 2014, and approved on December 31, 2014, between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and DTZ
(formerly Cassidy Turley Commercial Real Estate Services), be, and hereby are, authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that checking account will be operated out of U.S. Bank
checking account number 1-523-1089-1253 for the deposit/reserve account and account number
1-523-1089-1246 for the operating account.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the authorized signatures for the account will be the
designated representatives of DTZ who are bonded and insured by the DTZ in accordance with
the above agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the operating checking account may have a surplus
cash balance as determined by the Director of Finance and Administration and Controller to cash
flow transactions with a minimum of a quarterly adjustment of the amount. All excess funds shall
be deposited in the County General Fund at least quarterly.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Accounting shall monitor the two checking accounts
and make the necessary accounting transaction entries on the books of the county as required.
