RE: Letter dated October 21, 1976 from property owners near IDA
Industrial Park proposed Second Filing
Dear Mr. Chambers:
As per the above referenced subject, the following correspondence is for-
warded. The Weld County Board of County Commissioners met and discussed
the above referenced correspondence on their regular November 1, 1976
meeting date. During the discussion the information listed below was
determined by the Board.
1. North 5th Avenue is platted as part of the approved First
Filing of IDA Subdivision. The road is required to be sur-
faced by the developer.
2. The County Engineer will make a study of widening and sur-
facing County Road 2A, placement of a stop sign at the inter-
section of North 5th Avenue and County Road 2l, and an evalu-
ation of traffic patterns on the above named streets to deter-
mine feasibility of requesting specific patrolling for speed
control. This study will be forwarded to the Board upon com-
pletion for their evaluation and determination. Results of
the Board's decision on these items will be forwarded when
available.
3. The item regarding acid placement in pits is assumed to be re-
ferring to the Western Company's location in the approved
First Filing. This activity is controlled by strict develop-
ment standards that require foreign liquids such as acids to
be placed in the Brighton sewer. The ponds on the property

are for storm drainage retention. A report from the Health
lleparUnent indicates the development standards are being
met. Any additional activities in the Second Filing would
be subject to similar development standards if site review
of the activities indicated necessity.
4. Regarding annexation of your properties into the City of
Brighton, this matter is not within the jurisdiction of
the Board of Commissioners of \Veld County.
Hopefully this correspondence has covered all points raised in your letter
of October 21, 1976. As previously discussed, certain additional information
will be forwarded as soon as possible. If you have additional questions,
please feel free to contact me at the above given address or by phone at
356-4000, extension 405.
