Historically publication bids have been based on different widths of columns , which made it
difficult to compare prices . As a result we asked each bidder to price three sample notice
publications , and then the cost of those sample notices is calculated to acquire an estimated
annual cost based upon the average number of notices to be published in the next year . In
considering the bid it is important to remember that the largest amount of publication of notices is
in the Type # 1 format , so it is reasonable to expect that the bidder lowest in cost in the Type # 1
format is the lowest bidder.
This year staff received only one bid from the Greeley Tribune , therefore , I am providing the Board
with the current year' s price in comparison to the bid submitted for next year purely for reference .
Consideration of this information is at the discretion of the Board .

Hi Trevor,
I spoke with Jennifer Kline earlier this morning and she confirmed her amounts for the 2015 rates on Examples 1 and 2
changed once she went back and reformatted the legals from last year to match how they usually format by removing
lines, etc.
• So, if they had submitted those amounts last year that is what I would have been comparing against ( apples to apples )
and my percentages would have been 37% across the board . Her attached table also matches each year' s bid amount
that increased from $ 1 . 35 pci ( per column inch ) up to $ 1 . 85 pci .
I got a chance to review the numbers with Barb Kirkmeyer this morning and she indicated understanding that despite
the increase they are well below the Statutory limits .
Thanks for covering this with the Board tomorrow while I ' m out . Assuming itgets approved , I ' ll send the
pp out t o usual
memorandum to County staff next week advising them that all contact information and processes/deadlines remain the
same, with the exception that they need to be prepared to start seeing notice affidavits that reflect the 37% cost
increase .
