RE: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO AND
FOREST SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, an agreement between Weld County, Colorado and the
Forest Service concerning the patrolling of recreation areas of
the Pawnee National Grasslands within the boundaries of Weld
County has been presented to the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the term of said agreement shall be from July 16,
1979 to September 30, 1979, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado shall be reimbursed for costs
incurred in patrolling said Pawnee National Grasslands, and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that said patrolling would not
detract from normal patrol services and therefore, said agreement
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the agreement between
Weld County, Colorado and the Forest Service for the patrolling
of the recreation areas of the Pawnee National Grasslands within
the boundaries of Weld County be, and hereby is , approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman of
the Board of County Commissioners be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of
July, A.D. , 1979.

OPERATING AND FINANCIAL PLAN
. Reimbursable Services Requested by the Forest Service
This plan, made and agreed to this July 16 , 1979 and ending
September 30, 1979, by and between the Service and the Weld
County Sheriff' s Office becomes part of the agreement between
said parties dated July 16 , 1979.
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed:
I. The Weld County Sheriff agrees:
To Provide certified Deputies and marked vehicles to
patrol recreation areas on the Pawnee National Grass-
land within the boundaries of Weld County from July
16, 1979 to September 30, 1979.
A. Weld County Sheriff' s Office will patrol the following
area twice daily between 0900 and 1200 and 1600 and
2000.
Crow Valley Park Campground, Briggsdale, Colorado.
This patrol is expected to take one hour to complete.
II. Patrolling Activities
A. Weld County Sheriff' s Office will enforce Colorado
State laws within their jurisdiction.
B. Weld County Sheriff' s Office will secure any evidence
for the Service and will report to the Service any
violations with the jurisdiction of the Service.
C. Weld County Sheriff ' s Office will provide public
service to visitors within his capability and manpower.
D. Weld County Sheriff' s Office will dispatch additional
deputies within his manpower capabilities for unseen or
emergency situations upon request of the Service.
III. Purchases.
Weld County Sheriff' s Office will purchase needed
equipment with identified unspent funds during September,
1979. Said equipment will be itemized as Appendix "B"
of this plan.

IV. Billings.
Weld County Sheriff's Office will provide the Service
with a billing for reimbursable services outlined in
Clause I once a month. The statements will be in
sufficient detail to allow the Service to tie these
expenditures back to reimbursable expenses and rate
schedule contained in Clause VI and will be certified
by the Cooperator that claimed expenses are current
and proper.
V. The Service agreed:
A. To reimburse the Weld County Sheriff 's Office upon
receipt of satisfactory statements of expenditures in
accordance with the following schedule, but not to
exceed a total of $1800.00 for this agreement.
B. To loan to the Weld County Sheriff ' s Office equipment
as needed and when mutually agreed to. A list of such
equipment will be attached to this plan as Appendix
when needed.
VI. Rate Schedule for Reimbursable Services:
Clause I Salary - 2 hr/da x 77 da = 154 hrs @ $6./hr 924. 00
Vehicle - 154 hrs @ $4./hr 616. 00
Total
$1540. 00
