HomeMy WebLinkAbout20150714.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE EMERGENCY BID #B1500091, MAPO CHEMICAL BID AND WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION - PUBLIC WORKS WEED AND PEST DIVISION WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #B1500091, MAPO Chemical Bid, for the Department of Public Works Weed and Pest Division, due to product needed to start the spring spray season, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day waiting period for said emergency bid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request#B1500091, MAPO Chemical Bid, for the Department of Public Works Weed and Pest Division, be, and hereby is, waived. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bids from Van Diest, CPS Timberland, Frontier Fertilizer, CPS Professional Products and Helena, in the amount of $26,648.06, be, and hereby are, accepted on an emergency basis. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of March, A.D., 2015. The bids have been received and are being evaluated to find the low bidder that meets County specifications with priority placed on local vendors for each item. Over the year, local vendors have provided support by answering questions, checking on problems, providing education and assisting with local presentations and workshops.
