Home My WebLink About20150228.tiff RESOLUTION RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, APPROVE DONATION OF SAME TO WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S VOLUNTEER AUXILIARY, INC., AND AUTHORIZE CONTROLLER TO SIGN ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, as described in Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment, as described in Exhibit "A" as surplus, and authorize the donation of said equipment to the Weld County Sheriff's Volunteer Auxiliary, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that certain equipment, as described in Exhibit "A," be, and hereby is, declared as surplus. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the request for the donation of said equipment to the Weld County Sheriff's Volunteer Auxiliary, Inc., be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Controller be, and hereby is, authorized to sign all necessary documents. The Sheriff's office had asked that it not be sent to auction. We again met with the BOCC right after the first of the year with the Sheriff's office to talk about what they were going to do with the vehicle. It was agreed that they would donate the vehicle to Weld County Sheriff's Volunteer Auxiliary Inc, a 501©(3).
