RE: APPROVAL OF RELOCATION EXPENSES FOR DATA PROCESSING PROJECT MANAGER
POSITION.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is
vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Director of Data Processing have
been diligently attempting to recruit a qualified individual for the position
of Project Manager in the Joint Data Processing Center, and
WHEREAS, recruitment efforts have indicated that there are not adequate
qualified individuals within the immediate area and it has been necessary to
recruit nationwide for individuals with the qualifications to fulfill the
Project Manager position in the Joint Data Processing Center, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, to pay only the relocation expenses for specific positions
in Weld County, and
WHEREAS, a job offer for the position of Project Manager in the Joint
Data Processing Center has been offered a very qualified applicant, conditional
upon the Board's approval of paying for the relocation expense of the indivi-
dual in conjunction with the Personnel Policies and Procedures of Weld County,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems
it advisable and in the best interest of Weld County to approve the payment
of the relocation expenses of Mr. Tom Rideout to Greeley, Colorado from
Houston, Texas in accordance with the Personnel Policies and Procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the relocation expenses for Mr. Tom Rideout be,
and hereby are, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Finance and
Director of the Data Processing Center are hereby authorized to inform Mr.
Rideout of the Board's approval and to make the move a formal part of the job
offer to Mr. Tom Rideout.

The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 21st day of May, A.D. , 1979.
