RE: REGULATION OF SPEED IN THE UNINCORPORATED TOWN OF
LUCERNE, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, heretofore and on November 26, 1975, by Resolution,
the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
statute in such cases made and provided, thereby reduced speed limits within
the unincorporated limits of the Town of Lucerne, Weld County, Colorado,
to 15 miles per hour, all as shown in said Resolution providing therefore, and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board that said speed
limits as shown in the hereinabove mentioned Resolution are too low, and
WHEREAS, after a study of the facts and circumstances of the speed
limit problem within the unincorporated Town of Lucerne, and now having
been sufficiently advised;
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, that the speed limits within the unincorporated Town
of Lucerne, Weld County, Colorado, all as shown in the hereinabove mentioned
Resolution of November 26, 1975, be amended to read 25 miles per hour; and
that any speed in excess of 25 miles per hour, and the driving of any vehicles
at any speed in excess of said limits as aforementioned, thereon or thereat,
shall be prima facie evidence that said speed is not reasonable, safe or pur-
dent,and that it is unlawful.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of December, A. D„
1975.
