RE: ITEMIZED LIST OF LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2016
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2016 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day (2016) Friday, January 1, 2016
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 15, 2016
Memorial Day Monday, May 30, 2016
Independence Day Monday, July 4, 2016
Tuesday, July 5, 2016
(replaces Colorado Day)
Labor Day Monday, September 5, 2016
Veterans Day Friday, November 11, 2016
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 24, 2016
Friday, November 25, 2016
(replaces King's Birthday)
Christmas Friday, December 23, 2016
(replaces Columbus Day)
Monday, December 26, 2016
New Year's Day (2017) Monday, January 2, 2017
FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of
Colorado.
District Attorney -- Tuesday, July 5, 2016 (replaces Colorado Day);
Friday, November 25, 2016 (replaces King's Birthday); and
Friday, December 23, 2016 (replaces Columbus Day)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the calendar
year of 2016 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 5th day of October, A.D., 2015.
